ABOUT MARSHA
My mission as a Spiritual Director is to encourage and support individuals on their journeys to awaken to God in their lives and help them to respond to their discoveries.
I was trained in Spiritual Direction by the Haden Institute in Hendersonville, NC. I serve as a Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Florida and worked at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL as a Pastoral Care Director. I also spent almost thirty years as an executive in a large corporation. I led and guided managers to achieve corporate goals while also focused on human needs.
As a Spiritual Director, I offer prayerful encouragement and support regardless of where a Directee is on their sacred journey.
My hope is that as we I listen together the Directees will become more open to responding to God’s call on their lives. It is important to me that we together honor and recognize the journey, not the destination.
It is a sacred honor and privilege to walk with a Directee on their spiritual journey. I will hold what is shared in confidence.

My Vision
To encourage and support individuals on their journey to awaken to God in their lives and assist them in responding to their discoveries.
Principals Important to Me
Listening – The Chinese character for listen and hear are the same. It is a complex character that includes the characters for ears, eyes, attention and heart. Listening with each of these components is an important component of my role as a Spiritual Director.

Companionship – Listening together and becoming open to respond to God’s call on our lives
Confidentiality – Creating a safe space to enable personal, private and sacred conversation and build trust.
The Journey – Honoring and recognizing the journey, not the destination
Humility – Expressing a spirit of deference to God, others and to ideas in order to awaken the spirit
My Commitment to You
I commit to walking with you on your spiritual journey. I will listen to your story with an open mind and heart and pray with and for you. I will hold all that you share with the strictest of confidence. It is my sacred honor and privilege to walk with you on your spiritual journey.
Am I The Right Spiritual Director For You?
I offer to you an open heart and listening ear. It is my objective to help others grow closer to God and in their understanding of what God wants for them. Finding the right Spiritual Director for your journey is very important and personal.
It’s perfectly acceptable to meet with more than one spiritual director until you find someone with whom you click. It’s important to find someone whom you feel very comfortable with since you’ll be discussing important issues with them.
Interviewing more than one Spiritual Director may be necessary in finding the right one for you. I am available to have up to a 30 minute conversation with you to answer any questions you may have.
